The idea is there but the finishing is lacking for Barcelona

Once again the main problem for Barca came in front of the goal. The Catalans were playing exactly how Xavi wanted them to, by keeping a high line and adopting an almost Guardiola style of pressing. Barca had the majority of the possession and the shots, however, they were not doing much with the possession. Xavi’s side was creating attacks and Ousmane Dembele’s wing was utilized the most. Ferran Torres seemed a bit out of the team and could not really get into the game; however, Dembele was getting a lot of chances.

Still, the French international could not get the ball into the box enough or keep his shots on target. The player had a few chances to put the ball at the back of the net but once again his lack of finishing did not help Barca in the slightest. They did have more success by crossing the ball into the box, towards Luuk de Jong, however, that is not the Barca way and this is a problem that Xavi has to fix. In the end, the first goal was very scrappy and bounced off of De Jong’s shin while the second goal was a splendid header by Ansu Fati. Still, Fati was completely unmarked and goals like that will not come very often.
