Another player whom the Catalans need to sell in this transfer window is Sergi Roberto. The midfielder who was once a great talent and was incredibly useful for his versatility is hardly used anymore plus his injury-prone nature has made him a less than favorable player for the Catalans. The 29-year-old hardly features in any matches these days and he only started nine times in the league last season. His contract will expire at the end of the season and thus now is the right time to sell him. Laporta and Xavi have already made it clear that Roberto is not in their plans for the future so there is no point in keeping him.

The player is worth around nine million euros according to Transfermarkt and selling him would be the better option. The player will become a free agent at the end of the season anyway so Barca must do all that they can to sell the player in order to get any amount of cash that they can.
