Ousmane Dembele is one of the only few world-class players that Barcelona is looking to sell. The Catalans had made it clear that Dembele was one of their most important players and Xavi definitely wanted to keep the player. However, the player has made the choice and he wants to maintain his current salary or leave the club. Right now, the French international is one of the top players in the club however, Barca cannot afford to keep paying him the amount he is currently receiving. Thus, his new contract cut his fee significantly but that has upset the player.

Now, the club cannot afford to keep paying him the amount he is being paid now and he does not want to lower his wages. His contract expires at the end of the season and Barca paid over a hundred million euros to bring him into the club. The club will lose a lot of money if they let him go for free so if the Catalans cannot extend his contract, the best thing to do would be to sell him. Clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in his services and Barca should actively try to sell him since he is not in the mood to extend his contract.
