5 left-backs Barcelona want to loan in January

The first left-back whom the Catalans could bring in is Alfonso Pedraza from Villareal. The former European kings are already highly interested in bringing in the right-back from the same club and now they could try to go for the left one as well. Villareal is a club that was heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and at one point they were ready to sell all of their players. They would like a good offer from the Catalans however if Barca wants to loan the player first with an option to buy, then that would be acceptable for the club as well.

Respected journalist, Gerard Moreno, has stated that the Catalan side has identified Pedraza as one of their potential targets however, they only want to loan him out in the winter and then consider a full buy at the end of the season. The main problem with this is Villareal might be hesitant to loan out one of their main players in the middle of the season to a direct rival. While Pedraza has been showing a lot of impressive work, it might be a tough deal for the Catalans and is unlikely to go through in the winter.
