Barcelona are very close to completing one of their most anticipated signings in this transfer window. This had been one of the busiest and most hectic windows for the Catalan club in a long time with a lot of players arriving a lot of them leaving as well. However, the player that Barca really need at the moment, one of the best strikers in the world, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is very close to joining the Catalan side. The Gabonese player was apparently offered a good contract by Al Nassr however, he desires to join Barca and is ready to take a wage cut as well.

He has been sidelined by the Arsenal manager for a long time now and it does not seem like Mikel Arteta is interested in the player any longer. The Gunners are trying their best to make the deal go through since he is no longer important for the club and he can still claim one of the highest salaries in the club. The player makes a whopping 300,000 euros a month and that is way too much for a player who is no longer a viable option for him. That is why it will be easy for him to join Barca but there is still a complication.

The main complication at the moment is Ousmane Dembele is still at the club and he is earning a lot which makes it almost impossible for Barca to bring in anyone new. The problem remains the La Liga wage cap which does not allow more than a certain amount of overall wage. Even if Aubameyang agrees to take the lowest allowed wage by La Liga, it will probably not be enough to bring him in. Dembele needs to be moved on from the club as soon as possible otherwise any other transfer will be quite tough.
