Former Arsenal superstar found training with Barcelona team

Barcelona had one of the most hectic transfer windows in quite a while and the club was invested in the market till the dying minutes of the window. Near the end of the transfer window, the Catalans were trying their best to secure Arsenal superstar, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, however, it looked like things were not falling into place especially because Ousmane Dembele was still not moved on from the club. It was never revealed whether the move was completed or it fell apart however, now it has been leaked that the Gabonese player is training with Barca, all but confirming the move.

The player who has been missing a lot of Premier League matches due to his clash with the manager and his unfortunate injury is finally back on his feet and joining Barca would help him tremendously as it will give him another chance to end his career on a high note. He is currently 32 years old and only has a couple of good seasons left in him however, he is still a deadly striker and he is a perfect temporary fix for the Catalans. On Tuesday, ESPN posted a picture on Twitter that showed the Arsenal man in the background of a Barcelona practice session.

Aubameyang joins Barcelona on a free transfer

This seems to have cemented the fact that Aubameyang has been signed and now we are just waiting for Barca to officially announce his transfer to the club. It will be a free transfer after the striker’s Arsenal contract was mutually terminated. Aubameyang’s Barca contract lasts until 2025 but with a clause to end it in 2023. This is a good move for the Catalan as he would be a perfect solution till they can afford Erling Haaland. The Gabonese player has a lot of speed and his finishing is second to none. Hopefully, he will be more impactful than Sergio Aguero, Luuk de Jong, and Martin Braithwaite.
