Neymar tried everything to make Barcelona return possible

Before Lionel Messi left the club, Barcelona had only one player in their mind and they were sure that the player would propel them back into stardom. The player we are talking about is, of course, Neymar Jr. The Brazilian maestro was once one of the best players in Barca and his combination with Messi and Luis Suarez was unstoppable. However, wanting more recognition and tired of being under the shadow of Messi, he left the club in 2017. Ever since he left the club, there have always been rumors about his return, he was not happy at Paris Saint-Germain, Barca was not the same and now he has confirmed that he tried his best to return.

In a recent interview with Brazilian legend and footballing icon, Ronaldo, on the Fenomenos podcast, he said that he did all that he could to return to Barca. He was injured a lot at the beginning of his new career and fans were not satisfied with everything the freestyle player had to offer. He longed to play with Messi again and thus tried to return to his former club. He said,

Last season he asked Messi to reunite with him and said that he wanted to play with the Argentine once again. While he did say that he wanted the Barca legend to play with him at PSG, there were rumors surrounding him joining Barca as well. Even Joan Laporta himself hinted at a potential Neymar return.

However, there were no funds to bring him in and a new lucrative offer from PSG sealed his situation in Paris. Messi also joined him in France and he said that he is extremely happy with the reunion and he hopes that they can win the Champions League together again.
