Since the beginning of Joan Laporta‘s reign in Barcelona, he has had one player brought attention to multiple times. The player was a big part of his campaign move and continued to remain a big part of his future plans for the club. The player of course that we are talking about is Erling Haaland. The Borussia Dortmund striker was first brought into the spotlight of the footballing world in 2019 when his performances in the UEFA Champions League with RB Salzburg was just awe-inspiring. After that he was quickly picked up by the German side however, in order to become one of the best in the world, he knows that he will need to move on from Dortmund.

That is where Barca comes in, while, there are many top teams in the world and a lot of them want to sign the player. However, according to reports, Haaland is not interested in joining a Premier League side and La Liga is the league that attracts him the most. With Real Madrid already locked in on Kylian Mbappe, they cannot afford another huge signing and that just leaves Barca as the main option. According to Deportes Cuatro, Laporta has already given an offer to Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, and it is a huge offer.

A five-year deal has been structured out which would see the world-class striker earn almost 200 million euros. The first year he would 20 million, in the second year he would get 30 million, in the third year it would bump up to 40 million and in the last two years, he would earn anywhere between 50 to 55 million euros each year. That is a huge deal and the bonuses have not been included either. With Raiola already having multiple meetings with Laporta, it would be surprising to see Haaland move anywhere else however, big teams like Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain continue to stalk the player.
