Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world but they had lost their way in the last decade and Mikel Arteta was brought in to fix the problem. The former Gunners legend is extremely serious about turning things around at the London side, even if that means to let go of their captain. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was let go of this season after having a fallout with the manager regarding a disciplinary breach. This made the manager strip him of his captaincy and also bench him for the remainder of his time at Arsenal. The Gunners let him go for free to Barcelona in January and it has been a great restart for him so far.

The Gabonese striker was not one of the best regarding his behaviour but he was one of the best strikers the London side had seen in years. He scored goals consistently and even won the Golden boot in his first full season with the club. He was one of the best strikers of the Premier League, scoring 22 goals in his first and second season. He fell off a bit in the third season and in the fourth season he was let go by the club. While a lot of North London fans supported the decision and the club seems to be doing good now, celebrity fan, Piers Morgan is not particularly happy.

Barcelona striker says he had good times with Arsenal which he won’t forget

The British broadcaster and public figure took to Twitter and reminded the jovial Gunners’ fans that while their club is doing good, Aubameyang has already scored six goals for Barca in only nine appearances. He ended the message by saying that he missed the Arsenal captain. The Gabonese striker responded to that message saying,

"“Thanks, Piers but Sometimes everyone benefits from a separation most important is that everyone is happy now, and we had good times that I don’t forget,” Source Twitter"

A player’s club is always special to that player, no matter the circumstances of the exit. For the players, it is the fans who they want to please the most. Aubameyang ultimately left the club due to disagreement with the manager however, he did enjoy four years at the club and it is good to see that he still cares about the fans.
