Pedri talks about Haaland possibly coming to Barcelona
Barcelona star, Pedri, has been in the spotlight lately and he has been giving a lot of interviews. From what he bought with his first paycheck to how he was rejected at Real Madrid during trials. Now, the player has even given his thoughts on a potential Barca signing and his reaction to this rumour is not surprising whatsoever. The player that we are talking about is Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. The Catalans have been linked with the player for two seasons now and at this point it does not seem like he will go anywhere else. The president wants him, the manager wants him and now even the players want him.
In the interview with TVE, Pedri was asked about Haaland potentially moving to Barcelona. Unsurprisingly, the Spaniard was very happy with the fact that Haaland is considering Barca. He said in the interview,
"“Hopefully he can come, almost everything he touches goes inside,”_SPORT via TVE"
That sentiment is true. The player has scored 23 goals in 23 matches in all competitions, thus averaging one goal per game. That is an insane stat on its own, however, he also has six assists in all competitions and he even mentioned in an interview that he wants to score more goals than the number of games he has played.
Barcelona star wants Haaland to join him at the Catalan side
This sort of drive and the will to outperform himself makes Haaland one of the most sought-after players in Europe. There are a lot of top teams such as Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain that want his signature but Barca is still the favourites. This is because not only does Joan Laporta have a great relationship with Haaland’s agent but Haaland himself has claimed that he would like to go to La Liga instead of the Premier League.
To see the striker in Catalunya would be a dream come true but fans should not dream too much since there could always be the possibility of him joining some other club.
