Barcelona are under immense pressure to sell first-team players in order to fix their finances, with La Liga imposing a transfer ban shortly after Barca president Joan Laporta publically accused La Liga chief Javier Tebas to be anti-Barca.

While the two continue their public feud, the truth remains that the Catalan giants are struggling financially, and now La Liga has banned the club from signing any more players unless Laporta can raise £178 million.

"“As of today, Barcelona doesn’t have any room in its budget to spend in the upcoming transfer window.”“Barcelona has been involved in questionable behaviour which has had an impact on LaLiga and we are acting accordingly. We have ruled that they can no longer sign more players.”“They have to reduce their investment in players and we have encouraged them to sell players.” said Javier Tebas.Source Daily Mail"

The La Liga leaders remain optimistic for the summer, and while coach Xavi Hernandez continues to scout the transfer market for reinforcements, the transfer ban has attracted a lot of eyes for potential exits.

Many European giants believe that the Blaugranas must sell many of their first-team players in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play, and this has linked multiple superstars with an exit in the summer transfer window. One such name is Franck Kessie, who has been largely left out by the Spanish coach in order to fit Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, and Sergio Busquets in his four-man midfield.

While Busquets is rumored to leave Camp Nou in the summer, Xavi remains keen on keeping the 34-year-old for one more season. This could potentially push Kessie out of the club in order to find more playtime with Gazzetta Dello Sport reporting that Serie A giants Inter Milan have made the 26-year-old their top priority for the summer.
