Alejandro Garnacho’s celebrations following Manchester United’s win over Barcelona in the Europa League play-off round didn’t go down well with the fan base of the Spanish side. Now, it appears even the Blaugrana players found the forward’s antics annoying.

The Argentine talent, who impressed against Barcelona in the second leg win at Old Trafford by playing an important role in the build-up to Antony’s winner, celebrated at the full-time whistle by making glasses with his hands – a gesture made popular by Pedri.

Many Barca fans considered the act of the United winger disrespectful towards the Spanish midfielder, who wasn’t even involved in the game after going off injured in the reverse fixture at Camp Nou.

Garnacho also took to social media to share a picture with the caption: “The big team goes through”.

Now, Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araújo has shared his thoughts on Garnacho’s antics.

"“Yes, everyone is the way they are. I respect everyone. Each one expresses as they want, but I’d rather have a low profile & show everything on the pitch. You have to be humble & calm,” Araújo said when asked if he found the United player’s behaviour after the defeat annoying.Source: infobae via Reshad Rahman"

With both United and Barcelona unlikely to face each other anytime soon, it’s best for everyone to move on and focus on their respective targets for the season.

The Premier League side will hope to get past La Liga outfit Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Europa League to increase their chances of lifting another trophy.

Barcelona, meanwhile, can extend their lead at the top of the league table by beating rivals Real Madrid in El Clásico on Sunday. Araújo, who came close to joining Los Blancos in past, can have a big say in the tie if he manages to keep Vinícius quiet.
