FC Barcelona and Brazilian forward Raphinha has responded to recent reports claiming that he is set to leave the club this summer. The reports suggest that as part of their efforts to raise €150m in player sales and cut down on their wage bill, Barcelona is planning to sell Raphinha, alongside Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati. However, the 24-year-old player took to social media to deny the claims.

"“Lying. This is lying. Whoever said this is a liar, uninformed and unprofessional. If you delete my comment, I will post this on my Instagram,” he wrote on Instagram in response to the report."

While it took some time, Raphinha has finally found his place at Camp Nou since joining the Catalan giants from Leeds United last year. He has impressed with his performances, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists in 33 appearances across all competitions for the Blaugrana. His agent, former midfielder Deco, is aware of the interest from Newcastle United and Chelsea for signing the Brazilain this summer.

According to reports, Newcastle United is willing to pay £71m (€80m) as a transfer fee for Raphinha’s services, which is significantly higher than the €65 million (£55m/$65m) Barca paid to the Premier League side. However, the Brazilian forward is determined to continue playing for the La Liga side.

Raphinha’s future at Barcelona is uncertain, especially with the club aiming to raise significant funds from player sales. Nevertheless, the player has shown that he is committed to the Catalan club and is keen to continue playing for them. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle or Chelsea will be able to persuade the Catalans to sell the talented forward, but for now, the winger remains at Camp Nou, and fans will be hoping that he continues to make a significant impact on the pitch.
