According to a report in Marca, Barcelona is set to secure the signing of Alvaro Perez Campo, more commonly known as Trilli.

The Deportivo La Coruna right-back has a €200k release clause in his contract and reports indicate that Barca is set to activate that in the coming days.

The expectation is that Trilli will join up with Rafa Marquez’s Barca Atletic side, but with Xavi on the lookout for reinforcements at right-back, an impressive start to the season could see him catapulted into first-team consideration.

The La Liga champions are always on the lookout for talented youngsters to join their world-famous La Massia academy.

With the current financial state of the Catalan side, finding and developing young and affordable talent is a logical way to use the limited transfer funds available.

We’ve already seen this strategy at work with the signings of Lucas Roman from Ferro Carril Oeste in Argentina, and Mikayil Faye from Croatian side NK Kustošija.

Recently Barca has been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt winger Kebil Ali Canpolat and Ecuadorian midfielder Oscar Zambrano.

Trilli – A highly thought of talent

Although Trilli may be unproven at the La Liga level, he’s highly thought of at Deportivo La Coruna, and have a number of admirers in the top-flight of Spanish football.

Not only does he read the game well in the defensive third, but he’s always willing to use his speed to get forward and once into the final third, he always looks to put the ball in the box.

From what we’ve seen of the talented youngster here at Everything Barca, he will need to work on the final product, as a lot of his crosses seem to find defenders, but that’s not usual with young players.

Trilli has all the tools to be a very good right-back or right-wing-back but will need time to develop his skills.
