Abde Ezzalzouli – Forward

Earlier this week it was reported that Xavi was willing to give Abde an opportunity to stage a claim to a squad place ahead of the 2023/24 season.

After spending a successful loan spell at Osasuna last year and leading Morocco to the U23 AFCON championship, Abde’s confidence is sky-high.

The talented winger is just 21 years of age, and while there are reports that indicate Barca would be open to selling him at the right price,  Abde could still have a future with the La Liga champions if another forward were to be sold this summer.

Competition breeds success and Abde is competitive as they come, after scoring 3 goals and assisting another three with Morrocco, he’ll be hoping to show that he can be a difference-maker in the final third.

Xavi is looking for a player who can spot that final pass to open up a defence, and Abde has shown an increasing capability to do just that.

The fans would also love him to stay. When he arrived for his medical last week he was greeted by fans chanting “Abde, stay”.
