3. Ansu Fati needs to stay

Another player on great form at the moment is none other than Ansu Fati. But before I go on, some context.

If Barcelona sell Ansu Fati, it will be an incredible mistake and spectacularly short-sighted. Ansu is simply a baller. His movement on and off ball is very nice and his link-up play on the left with Alejandro Balde has been great this preseason. He finally seems to be fully recovered from the knee injuries that have plagued him throughout his young career, and is rewarding the team’s (tentative) trust in him.

But apart from all this, he’s just a pure goal scorer. His goals against Tottenham and especially AC Milan should be proof of this. Coming off a season where Barcelona didn’t score a ton of goals and eked out a bunch of 1-0 wins, that’s important. His finishing is getting back to where it was when he first broke onto the scene for Barça , and if he can stay this clinical, he’ll be invaluable for this squad.

Comments like the one Xavi made above don’t bode too well, though. Let’s hope Joan Laporta and the board see the light at the end of the tunnel on this one.
