Despite controlling possession for much of the game, Barcelona were handed a scare in Pamplona as a late Robert Lewandowski penalty secured all three points for the Blaugrana.

Barcelona finished the game having had 71% of possession, yet recorded just one more shot on target (4) than a spirited Osasuna who fought well throughout.

A lot of the possession was safe and unthreatening and not for the first time this year, Barca struggled to find a way through. It was centre-back Jules Kounde who opened the scoring with a well-placed header from a Gundogan corner.

Ezequiel Avila thought he rescued a point with an outstanding curling effort, but just minutes later Alejandro Catena was judged to have brought down Lewandowksi in the penalty area, the result was a red card for Catena and a cooly taken penalty by Lewandowski.

Goalkeeper

Marc-André ter Stegen – 7

According to Microsoft stats, Avila had a 5.1% chance of scoring from his shot, but somehow it bent enough to cannon in off the post, there was nothing MATS could do about that one. He made a couple of very comfortable saves and collected plenty of balls in the air. He wasn’t quite as calm and collected at the back today with a couple of sliced clearances, but not a bad day.
