Sometimes the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, and one former FC Barcelona player is finding that out the hard way.

Most of the time, a player’s time at FC Barcelona will come to an end when the club decides it’s time, but some players push for a move for personal reasons, whether that’s financial or personal.

That was the case for Ousmane Dembele who navigated his way out of Barcelona this summer, electing to move back to his home country with PSG. He made a €50 million move, and one that was at times quite acrimonious considering the divide of funds between clubs and agents.

But unfortunately for Dembele, his time in Paris has yet to get going.

Dembele has made 5 appearances for PSG so far this year but has yet to score or register an assist for Luis Enrique’s side. He’s also yet to complete a full 90 minutes in France and for a player like Dembele with the talent he possesses, you know that’s going to be frustrating.

Premier League clubs now circling over a potential loan move

Now, according to some reports in England, there are several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation in France.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham are interested in bringing the French winger to London on loan, if he continues to struggle to find his best form in Paris.

The French champions made several reinforcements over the summer signing £63million man Goncalo Ramos and spending £76m on deadline day to bring in Randal Kolo Muani.

PSG find themselves 5th in the table, having won just two of their opening 5 fixtures and things won’t get any easier as they face off against Marseille tonight in Ligue 1.

It’s still early to call the Dembele transfer a flop, but his exit allowed Lamine Yamal to find minutes in the first team and with Barcelona on a winning streak, I don’t think many are missing him in Catalonia.
