25-year-old defensive powerhouse could return for FC Barcelona in November

FC Barcelona's 2024/25 season has been brilliant so far. However, while the German manager has improvised various aspects at the Catalan club, their injury concerns haven't changed much.

Since the start of this season, the club has faced the injuries of key players Marc Bernal, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, and Ter Stegen, while only Ansu Fati and de Jong have returned. While speculations have been made about three superstars, Fermin, Gavi, and Olmo, nearing a return after the international break, recent reports sound affirmative about the return of the club's one of the best defensive prospects.

Ronald Araujo, since his debut for FC Barcelona, has gone on to become one of the best center-backs available at the club. Emerging as the leader of the Barca backline, at the heart of the club's defense, Araujo's presence has become crucial for the club in the last few seasons. While this far in the 2024/25 season, Barca's display has been brilliant, they have been significantly missing the presence of their Uruguayan defensive ace.

Earlier in the summer, Araujo, while representing the Uruguayan national team, had suffered a hamstring injury, which has kept him sidelined for months now. While post-surgery reports indicated that the player is expected to return in December, recent sources suggest that the center-back might return a bit earlier.

As per recent reports from Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Araujo might return for the Blaugrana club on November 23 in their fixture against Celta Vigo. However, that is still being conditioned if everything goes well; otherwise, the player might get a game delayed, returning on November 26 on UCL matchday against Brest.

Similar to the pattern Barca boss Hansi Flick has been following, Araujo would be streamlined into the new setup gradually. With the manager having a lot of confidence in the Uruguayan power back, as does the Barcelona board, much expectation would be from the player to mark an impressive return. Barca fans would hope that the star defender remains injury-free further, playing a crucial role in the club's season ahead.
