Marc Casado

Although Marc Bernal's severe injury early in the season had things complicated for the club's midfield setup, Marc Casado's reentry into Flick's double-pivot system has proved to be one of the best things for them this season. Pairing up alongside star Catalan midfielder Pedri, prodigy ace Casado has been delivering brilliant performances one after the other, and the duo continued their mavericks in the El Clasico.

From the very beginning, Casado stood excellent in the fixture, making key clearances and executing key tackles. In the first half, the Spanish prodigy had one of the highest work rates for the side, as he nullified most of Real Madrid's forward play intentions himself. Further, in the second half, Casado stood instrumental in getting Barca the lead, as his thorough ball tore apart Madrid's backline, which Lewandowski finished to give the club the 1-0 lead. Delivering yet another masterclass, Casado has been one of the best talents for Barca recently, and eyes will be on him for the future.
