No club has ever done this before. Barcelona are the first club to make it to 6 consecutive UWCL finals after beating Bayern Munchen 4-2 at a packed Camp Nou on Sunday to reach a 5-3 aggregate.

How it happened

Barca dominated from the start, in a packed Camp Nou with 60,000 fans. A quick one-two was all that was needed to see off Bayern.

Salma Paralluelo gave the Catalan club the lead with 13 minutes gone with a fine strike, from a Caroline Graham Hansen cross to the far post. However, Bayern responded almost instantly with Linda Dallmann striking home, before Alexia Putellas restored the lead in the 22nd minute restoring the lead.

Putellas struck again in the second period before Ewa Pajor brought it to 4-1. Pernille Harder pulled one back for Bayern, but Barcelona held on comfortably.

Pere Romeu’s side are now 31 consecutive games unbeaten and this number in itself tells you all you need to know.

The historic achievement

Record unbroken. Barcelona Femeni now stand alone with 6 consecutive UWCL finals beating their previous record of 5 finals in a row. This has cemented them as 'the greatest club in women's football history.'

They also won their 7th consecutive league title and their 6th Supercopa de Espana, both records. They are achieving this remarkable successs at a time where their men's team is getting hampered by financial difficulties and La Liga FFP constraints.

Who they face in the final

OL Lyonnes await in Oslo, on the 23rd of May, for a 4th Women's Champions League final against them (equaling a joint record). Lyon knocked out current holders Arsenal in the other semi-final.

There was even a much needed Aitana Bonmati injury comeback in the second leg which will surely benefit them in the final.

Barca lost the 2025 final against Arsenal and will travel to Oslo looking to take back what they feel is theirs.
