Barcelona start off their league campaign against a formidable side in Mallorca. The Blaugrana will be looking to start off their campaign to repeat as champions and Los Bermellones will be looking to play spoiler at home

Barcelona did the double last season against Mallorca last season winning 5-1 in the Son Moix and winning the return fixture at the Montjuic 1-0. Barcelona thoroughly outplayed Mallorca in both those games but it doesn't mean they are guaranteed to dominate again. Barcelona started off last season winning the first three games by just a goal. Mallorca opened last season hosting the then defending champions, Real Madrid.
They held them to a 1-1 draw and even had chance to beat Los Blancos but settled for a draw. A player to watch out for would be former Barcelona player, Pablo Torre, as he showed lots of talent at Barca and may seek to show off his talents against his former club. Barcelona are the favorites heading in to this game, but it doesn't mean they have an easy opening day task against a very strong side. Though, it would be a fairly dissapointing start if they fail to get all three points.

I expect Hansi Flick's men to continue showing their quality and they seem to still be in good form from preseason. In early season games anything can happen, but I expect Barca's quality to shine and be too much for Mallorca.
