Barcelona vs Racing Santander match preview
Barcelona look simply unstoppable at the moment, with their perfect start to the campaign unlikely to come to an end here. On Sunday, Barça swatted aside Levante 4-2 at Estadi Ciutat de València. The visitors led 3-0 in no time, Xavi Espart breaking the deadlock and Lamine Yamal netted twice, before Karim Adeyemi sealed the win late on, after the Frogs had threatened a comeback.

This means Barça have won five out of five in La Liga, scoring a ridiculous 21 goals, the only side with a perfect record in the Primera División. On top of this, Hansi Flick's team also hammered Feyenoord 5-1 in their Champions League opener a week ago, with many tipping them as favourites to reach a first final in 12 seasons.
Back in La Liga, even with a trip to Sevilla to come on Saturday, most are expecting Barcelona to continue their flawless record until, at least, the upcoming international break. Last Wednesday against Feyenoord, it was heavily raining at Camp Nou, while this week it is likely to be raining goals.
As for Racing Santander, they are back in the top division for the first time since 2011/12, having been in the third-tier as recently as 2021/22. However, at this early stage, José Alberto López's team have shown signs of being competitive. On Saturday, los Verdiblancos came from behind to beat Alavés 2-1 at El Sardinero, thanks to a brace by Yassir Zabiri.
This is actually Racing's second victory of the season already, also enjoying a 3-2 victory over Elche, with the aforementioned Zabiri scoring a hat-trick that afternoon. The Racinguistas held Villarreal to a credible 2-2 draw on the opening weekend, albeit have lost both away games to date, narrowly beaten by both Getafe and Rayo Vallecano.
Well, needless to say, this will be an exponentially tougher away trip to Racing. Thus, anything other than an emphatic Barcelona victory at Camp Nou would be a surprise.

Ahead of Saturday night's trip to Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, expect Hansi Flick to rotate. Andreas Christensen, João Cancelo and Jules Koundé could come into defence, with Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal and Gavi not a bad reserve midfield trio, if Pedri, Rodri and Fermín López need a breather.
In attack, Gabriel Jesus' glancing header opened his Barça account a week ago, so could the Brazilian start for the first time? Scorer off the bench on Sunday Karim Adeyemi could also come in, if Flick does feel the need to heavily change his lineup. Lastly, Lamine Yamal has now scored against 18 different La Liga clubs, after adding Levante to this list, can he increase his tally?
Racing Santander team news
Yassir Zabiri is certainly Racing's man to watch, having scored all five goals across their two victories so far. Midfield André Almeida is suspended, after being shown a red card off the bench at the weekend. Goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala conceded six at Camp Nou a year ago in the colours of Valencia, and something similar could be on the cards here.
