FC Barcelona´s La Liga match with CA Osasuna was cancelled last night, after Barca´s team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia passed away just hours before kickoff.
Both teams were on the field warming up when the news broke 20 minutes before kickoff. Osasuna and the match referees immediately accepted FC Barcelona´s request to postpone the match and a message was posted inside the stadium informing spectators that the game was cancelled.

A cause of death hasn´t been confirmed, but it´s believed Minarro Garcia suffered a heart attack while at the FC Barcelona team hotel on Saturday taking part in game preparations.
Minarro Garcia, just 40 years old, joined the FC Barcelona staff in 2017 and was well respected and loved by players and staff.

La Liga will announce a replacement date in the coming days.
FC Barcelona now heads into next week with heavy hearts as they prepare for the Champions League 2nd leg against Benfica on Tuesday and their La Liga showdown with Atletico Madrid Sunday.
Sometimes there are bigger things in life than futbol and from everyone at FanSided, our thoughts and prayers go out to the players and staff of FC Barcelona and the family of Carles Minarro Garcia.
