While it´s no secret FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has transformed his side into one of the best in Europe, their current form has prompted serious Treble talks as Barca head into the final two months of the season.
Not only have Barca not lost a single game in 2025, they are playing a free-form attacking style that has produced an astounding 82 La Liga goals in just 29 games and they currently sit on a +54 goal differential.
So, what has happened at Barca? This is basically the same group of players that floundered through the season last year under Xavi. Tactics have changed, yes. Fitness regimens have changed, yes. But it´s Flick´s personality and ability to connect with his players that is making the difference. The “Human Element”

Flick has taken a player like Raphina and more than doubled his scoring output. Last season Raphina finished with 10 goals and 11 assists. The year before 10 and 12. He´s currently sitting on 27 goals and 18 assists in all competitions.
Ferran Torres finished last year with 11 goals and is already on 15, despite starting only 8 matches. Lamine Yamal played 50 matches last season and finished with 7 goals and 7 assists. In just 40 matches he has 13 goals and 16 assists in all competitions and leads La Liga with 11 assists.
Pedri has become one of the best players in the world, Iñigo Martinez has forced his way back into the Spanish National, and Eric Garcia has gone from completely out of FC Barcelona on loan to a player relied on in both midfield and defense. Frenkie de Jong is playing arguably the best futbol of his career and Fermin Lopez and Alex Balde have both become players to be reckoned with.

It´s the ability of Flick to get more out of his players through the personal relationships and trust he´s forged with them. He makes every player feel important to the team, no matter what the situation is. Gavi hasn´t played as much as some would imagine, but every time he steps on the field his commitment can´t be questioned.
In a day and age of coaching where tactical prowess and knowledge seem to take precedence, the “Human Element “seems to have been lost, and Flick has it. Ask Ruben Amorim at Manchester United or Pep Guardiola at Manchester City how their tactical knowledge has worked out this season.

While Flick is in the hunt for a treble, Amorim is on the verge of a relegation battle and Pep is hoping he can win an FA Cup to avoid going without a trophy this season. Tactical geniuses they may be, Flick is showing that just being a good, honest guy along with a good tactician is the recipe for success.
