Jules Kounde knows exactly where he stands at FC Barcelona at the moment, and the French defender is responding to his lost time on the field in the only way he knows how; with pure hard work.

News out of Barcelona report that Kounde is undertaking very strenuous extra hours at Ciutat Esportiva. The French defender is staying behind to complete specific, individual exercises with the coaches and physios after every first-team training session when the rest of his teammates would already head off for their dressing room rest.

Regaining the full confidence of Hansi Flick

Kounde knows perfectly well that he is not at his best at the moment and he wants to reclaim the full confidence of Hansi Flick. Rather than dwelling on lack of rhythm, Kounde vows to work exceptionally hard to regain his former indispensable pillar status in Barcelona's defence alongside Pau Cubarsi.

Hansi Flick is quite happy with Kounde's tremendous devotion to work.

Earlier in the German manager's tenure, he revealed to the journalists how he has never came across a player like Kounde, and openly admitting that he "had never seen such discipline" as he did with the French defender. Kounde has a habit of training straight away after playing games which demands maximum energy.

For a player so obsessed about body fitness, Kounde working more on his body fitness is not surprising and it's his clear message to Hansi Flick and rest of the squad that he has the desire and willingness to all it take.
