It is finally confirmed as La Masia's most promising gem proves to be the best in all of Spain.
In a spectacular 2025/26 season which saw FC Barcelona clinch their second domestic title in consecutive seasons with an outrageous 94 points, Lamine Yamal has officially been confirmed as the La Liga Player of the Season.
A dynamic youngster playing on the right wing at the age of just 19, Yamal successfully fended off high profile contenders from all across the league to etch his name into La Liga history.

A season of historical dominance
The young gem was an absolute menace in all opposition's defense. Given the freedom to play all over the opposition half by manager Hansi Flick, Yamal enjoyed his most successful season at Barcelona this past campaign, bagging 16 league goals as well as the most league assists (11) in all of Spain, in just 28 games.
The 16 goals gave him the prestigious Zarra Trophy, the award given to the highest-scoring Spanish player in the league, alongside former Barcelona player Ferran Torres. These figures came even as the youngster juggled a serious hamstring problem which kept him sidelined for the backend of the campaign.
Keeping the prize in Barcelona
This marks another year for a player of Barcelona, after Raphinha won the award in 2024/2025 season. This means that two consecutive Barcelona wingers, have been awarded the coveted MVP prize in two consecutive years.
Barcelona continued to take home the honors all around as "Manager of the Season" award was also deservedly given to Hansi Flick, his second on the spin, following another year guiding Barca to a 100% win record in the Nou Camp as the German helped Bara record 19 straight home wins out of 19 league home games.
Joan Garcia's goalkeeping earned him "The Save of the Season" award.
The La Liga Player of the Season award was undeniably Yamal's to win this year, as Barcelona prepare to contest the 2026/27 La Liga campaign with their young prodigy already declared Spain's premier player.
