Barca prodigy close to an exit move amidst significant departure rumors
- Mika Faye isn't training with Barca and is close to leaving and wouldn't feature against Valencia.
- Rennes and Besiktas are significantly interested in signing Barca's Mikayil Faye.
FC Barcelona is on the verge of starting their 2024/25 campaign, with the fixture against Valencia on the first matchday. Though Barcelona enjoys a brilliant bunch of star players available for the fixture, they are set to miss the availability of their dream signing, Dani Olmo. As FC Barcelona still finds a route to reach the 1:1 rule, they haven't been able to register Olmo and need some quick sales currently.
Topping the sales chart, come the youngsters like Vitor Roque, Ansu Fati, and Mikayil Faye. With Vitor Roque's saga prolonging amidst PL interest and Fati's injury holding back his sale option, the Blaugrana club desperately needs to offload Mika Faye to make some salary space for Olmo's registration.
Mika Faye close to an exit move amidst significant departure rumors
Not long ago, reports indicated Inter Milan had shown interest by inquiring about the Sengalese power-back. According to recent updates from Diario SPORT, in the last few hours, Besiktas have shown active participation in Faye's deal. The Turkish club has put forward an offer worth €10M to sign the Barcelona prodigy; however, Barcelona's demand of €15M holds the deal as complicated.
Moreover, it feels that the struggle to acquire the signature of the solid center-back is now between Besiktas and Rennes as Inter Milan has cooled their interest. Given such significant competition between the clubs to sign Faye, it feels the youngster isn't far from an exit move. On top of that, his recent unavailability in the training camp seems to escalate his move.
Diario SPORT recently reported that Mika Faye is no longer training with Barça and is close to leaving. Though his reason for unavailability wasn't clear until a recent report from Jijantes FC arrived, it was certain that he wouldn't be available against Valencia. Jijantes FC reported Mika Faye is not training due to a viral infection, and this leaves his future more unknown than ever.
Overall, even though any deal regarding Faye's sale hasn't materialized, things seem to be escalating for an urgent transfer in favor of FC Barcelona. With many clubs interested in the center-back who has all the numbers to leave, Barca feels as close as ever to gathering a decent amount of €15M for Mika Faye.
