FC Barcelona has secured yet another win in their 2024/25 La Liga campaign. With all the players performing up to their roles and stars like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Raphinha being standout stars as always, the Blaugrana club managed a dominating 4-1 victory against Girona. While Flick's side had all the checkboxes ticked from the fixture, the latest reports suggest that their recent victory has come with an injury.

Ever since his return, Dani Olmo has been looking phenomenal for Flick's Barca setup. A huge part of the club's success so far accounts for the brilliance of Olmo, along with the front three. Although the Girona fixture was just the 3rd game for the versatile Spanish star, he has been playing as if he never left the Blaugrana club.

Scoring the match-winner on his debut against Rayo Vallecano and a goal in the club's mammoth 7-0 victory against Valladolid, much was expected for Olmo in the fixture. Though the Spanish star had a comparatively cold first half, the attacking midfielder soon changed colors, netting a thunderous strike to make it 3-0 for Barcelona early in the 2nd half.

Up to this, it looked going well for him and the club; however, the player had to be brought off in the 61st minute, looking discomforted. While the Blaugrana club went on to win the fixture 4-1, till then, the major concern of the club has been Olmo's situation. Given the way he has performed this far, the club couldn't afford to have him unavailable.

Speaking to the media, Barca boss Hansi Flick expressed his concern for Olmo's injury, saying,

""We'll wait to see what happens with Olmo. I hope it's not too serious, hopefully, something minor, but we have to see.""

However, as per the latest reports, FC Barcelona has faced another crucial comeback as reports from journalist Javi Miguel suggest that he won't be available for Barca's upcoming UCL matchday. In fact, the Spanish star is set to be out for around 7-10 days and will be missing out on the club's coming fixtures against AS Monaco in the Champions League and Villareal in La Liga.

Although he is out for a week and a bit more, his absence would certainly be crucial for FC Barcelona's attack force. With big games coming up for the Blaugrana club, it remains to see how Hansi Flick uses the remaining options. Meanwhile, Barca fans and staff would hope that Dani Olmo returns soon, continuing the mavericks he has shown glimpses of.
