FC Barcelona's campaign this season so far has been significantly more brilliant than the fans had expected it to be. With the club being in the La Liga tabletop position in a dominating fashion, alongside recently marking their first 3 points for the UCL campaign, things look much positive for the Barca players and staff all around. However, unfortunately for a prodigy winger, things haven't been going the way he would have thought.

Firstly, being sidelined just before the Blaugrana club's US Preseason Tour, where he could have proved his spot in the playing XI, and now facing scarce game time since his return, this has been the case for Barcelona prodigy Ansu Fati. Once considered the successor to Barca's all-time legend Lionel Messi at the club, the talented star now finds himself in a rather uncertain future at the club.

While much was being expected for Fati, who had been Flick's favorite star, things haven't been going well since he returned from his foot injury. So far this season, the youngster has had just 28 minutes of play, that too most of them coming in Barca's recent UCL fixture against Young Boys. However, after failing to create a significant impact in these minutes, reports indicate shocking uncertainties about his Barca future.

As per reports from Diario SPORT, FC Barcelona is considering releasing Ansu Fati in the January transfer window in an attempt to get over the 1:1 FFP rule. With the club having still not achieved the 1:1 rule that was projected much before, the Catalan club might consider offers for Fati in the process and might replace him later.

From FC Barcelona's perspective, the move might be a positive one looking from a long-term perspective, things don't stand in favor of prodigy Ansu Fati. The 21-year-old, being on the back of a failed loan deal at Brighton, needs to have more opportunities at this tender stage of his career to bounce back further.

Although a move away might come better than is being expected for him, certainly leaving his dream club, FC Barcelona, won't come easy for Fati. Overall, the Blaugrana club releasing Fati might be a progressive step for them, but it can cause major uncertain situations for the 21-year-old prodigy forward.
