Barcelona consider offloading their 21-year-old talent, expected to be Messi's heir at the club

Returning to the Catalan club after a mediocre loan spell in the Premier League, Ansu Fati possessed a lifetime opportunity to make his way into the Barcelona squad, which lacked a conventional left-winger. Moreover, with Flick as the new person in charge, the 21-year-old had a golden chance to start afresh on personal and professional terms with him.

In the initial days, the youngster promised an impressive resurgence, looking better than ever, reciprocating his hunger to succeed at Barca. Diario SPORT reported that Deco informed Jorge Mendes that Ansu Fati must look for a new team. Moreover, the report mentioned that initially, Ansu Fati had arrived with a vision to stay at Barça, but now he is well aware that he would not have quality game time during the season and is considering several options to relaunch his career.

According to Diario AS, Hansi Flick has already given the green light for Ansu Fati's departure. With less than two weeks left in the transfer window, the Blaugrana club would try to escalate his move quickly. As per reports, several clubs, including Sevilla, Benfica, and Wolves, are interested in the player, and a move is still possible.

From Barcelona's perspective, the club wants a possible move also because, being aware of the options they possess for the left-wing spot, the club doesn't need such a high-salary player to be on the bench. Thus, Barça prioritizes saving as much of his salary as possible and including a purchase option at the end of the season in a potential loan deal.

Currently, Sevilla is the club that has put significant effort into signing Ansu Fati. However, they do face economic problems, considering the high salary of Fati. According to sources, Sevilla can't even reach 50% of his salary, so Barça would want the player to make an effort if he is to join Sevilla.

Even though Fati believes that he needs a move in order to get his career trajectory back on track, making such an effort might not be the winger's choice. However, with updates on Fati's deal yet to arrive, it would be interesting to see whether the winger is persuaded to move or will stay at the club this season.
