The last few weeks have seen Barca progress in the Nico Williams deal gradually. As promised, the Catalan club has shown the hunger to bring in Basque winger Nico after the Euro tournament. From putting up a proposal to being confident enough to financially face Nico's signing, the club has shown massive interest in acquiring Nico's signatures.

Though many clubs had seemingly high interest in Nico Williams' deal, the player's longing to play for the Catalan Giants has played a significant role in Barca's deal. Even today, many reports indicate that clubs like Arsenal and Aston Villa still wait to bid in for Nico if Barca's deal fails.

According to recent reports, FC Barcelona hopes for a quick response from Nico Williams. The club has made an offer to him and is ready to pay his release clause, and now everything depends on the player. Having received the green light from President Joan Laporta, all that is required for Williams to become a Barca player is to give the final green light.

Initially, the thing that seemed intriguing—managing his transfer fee due to difficult financial situations—doesn't seem to be an issue any longer. FC Barcelona is ready to pay the release clause, and they have prepared the money required to trigger the release clause, worth €58 million.

Being familiar with the interest from PL clubs, Barca wants to close the signing of Nico Williams in the upcoming week. Though Barca feels confident, as if Nico has set foot in Barcelona, the club still awaits the player's decision. The intensity of the deal in the Barca camp is such that they have decided to give full priority to Nico's deal and proceed with other things afterward.

According to some sources, even though Barca wants to witness Dani Olmo alongside Nico Williams, the current priority is to sign Nico Williams. Though further confirmation from the player is still left, Barca is as close as ever to making Nico Williams their newest addition.
