Cancelo's Injury Woes and Vitor Roque's Fine Debut
By Shree Desai
After escaping a narrow draw at Gran Canaria, FC Barcelona move forward with three points in the bag from this La Liga fixture. Things got messy against La Palmas as Barça struggled to clinch a win from a recently promoted club.
Among the chaos, Barcelona defender João Cancelo got caught up in a clash with Maximo Perrone, where the former ended up injured. The Portuguese defender left the field only 10 minutes into kick off.
Fans watched with dejection as the Portuguese international left the field, anticipating another player being taken to the hospital. Marc-André ter Stegen, Iñigo Martínez, Marcos Alonso, Sergi Roberto, Gavi and Pedri are already counting days at the hospital.
Addition of another starter into the mix was a hopeless sight for the Cules. Everyone was unhappy, but Xavi was confident as the club was waiting for the scans to come in and claimed that it didn't look serious.
"João Cancelo’s knee injury doesn’t look serious. We hope it’s just a knock. We will know more tomorrow about it.

Tigrinho Debuts With Promise
There was also good news for Barcelona fans as Vitor Roque got registered and also debuted against Las Palmas. Tigrinho had a decent debut as he came on for fellow winger Ferran Torres.
The Brazilian displayed immense promise and almost scored a goal. Considering his age, the winger is well worthy of playing for FC Barcelona, but still has a long way to go. The €60 million invested by the Blaugranes will give big returns in the future.
Vitor also shared his thoughts regarding his big debut.
"Muy feliz por la victoria y por mi debut, un sueño que estoy cumpliendo, seguimos por más, gloria a Dios.🔵🔴🤩🙏🏽"
