FC Barcelona's Sporting Director Deco gave some very important transfer updates regarding the club. The Portuguese talked about Bayern Munich's interest in Araújo and the possibility of signing more players in this transfer market.

Primarily, the ex-Barcelona midfielder broke ice on the ongoing Bayern-Araújo rumors.

"He is one of Barça's key players of the present and future. We are not considering selling him, we want him to be happy and this is shown on a day-to-day basis. There is nothing to talk about. The important thing is that he is here with hunger and heart."

Deco's statement clearly indicates how important Araújo is to Barça. The club considers the Uruguayan defender as a long-term asset and is not planning on letting him go, at least for this transfer window.

Next, the Portuguese talked about why there haven't been any new signings this season.

"We don't have Fair Play. It's the same problem as many teams in the League, but we keep working."

As expected, the reason the Catalan giants haven't been able to sign new players is because of the Fair Play rules. Barcelona is already at their financial limit and cannot register new players. The situation looks grim and Barça should focus on becoming financially healthy if they ever want to achieve their former glory.

As days pass, the race to sign Swedish talent Lucas Bergvall seems like a never-ending quest. Although amidst the chaos, Fabrizio Romano has come up with new updates concerning the midfield talent.

"🔵🔴🇸🇪 Understand Barcelona plan to keep advancing on Lucas Bergvall deal, new round of talks has been scheduled for Swedish talented midfielder.

According to reports, FC Barcelona is still in the race to sign Lucas. The Catalan giants are planning to hold another round of talks to seal the deal. Barça is ready to offer €6 million for the Swedish international.

The only advantage Barcelona has is Bergvall's interest in the Catalan giants. Lucas prefers the Blaugranes over other clubs. This puts Barça in a superior position despite their low offer, as other clubs are ready with €9 million in hand.

Also, if the deal goes through, the offer is for the summer and not the January transfer window. This is because of the fair play issues Deco spoke about.
