FC Barcelona is no alien to recognizing talent at a young age. Their youth academy proves that the Barça scouting system is one of the best in the world. The Blaugranes' scouts have recognized another German talent who made headlines for his performances in the recent U-17 World Cup.

Apart from Noah Darvich, the Catalan giants will be adding another Deutsch gem to their roster. According to BILD, the Spanish club is set to sign Almugera Kabar, who currently plays for Dortmund's academy. The German international proved his worth in the recent FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he displayed immense talent in Indonesia.

Barcelona have been following the player for a long time but the two parties just haven't reached an agreement yet. The player's contract runs till 2025, but won't cost much for Barça. The left-back has demanded some pretty big vows.

Kabar wants to have a prominent role in the first-team. The German international wants to be a part of the pre-season tour and also train with the first-team on a frequent basis. Dortmund, on the other hand, won't let such a talent go so easily. Die Borussen are trying to convince the lad by promising a promotion to the first-team if he stays loyal.

Journey So Far

Almugera Kabar is of Libyan descent. He was born on 6th February 2006 in Bremen, Germany. The left-back has won both the European U-17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Kabar played his youth football in Arnsberg and Hamm for SV Hüsten 09 and Hammer SpVg, respectively.

Almugera signed for Dortmund in 2019 and hasn't looked back since. In 2023, The Guardian named him among the best footballers born in 2006. He is a perfect modern-day left-back. The combination of both defending and attacking skills make him unstoppable.

Be it defending or carrying the ball, Kabar can do both. The German international's crossing and vision also sets him apart. As a player, he can be a perfect fit for the Blaugranes carrying forward the torch left by the best full-backs the club has ever produced.
