Jules Kounde
In the semifinal clash between Spain and France, another Barca player stood out for his performance. Though Jules Kounde did end up on the losing side, the French powerback did everything possible to make his team finish on the winning side.
Finishing the fixture with the most duels won, completing the most tackles, and managing six recoveries, Kounde was the most complete player for France in the Euro semifinal.
Not long before, against Belgium, the Barca defender stood like a wall in front of the Belgian attack featuring Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Carrasco, which eventually made France reach the quarterfinals. Kounde, with his MOTM performance, was crucial as France got past Belgium 1-0 in a close encounter.
Considering the Frenchman's rich vein of form, Barca would hope that he continues with the same grit as the leader of Barca backline in Araujo's absence.
