Hansi Flick reflects upon FC Barcelona's 1st La Liga loss of the season

FC Barcelona's winning streak in La Liga has been compromised as Osasuna defeats them at El Sadar with a dominating scoreline of 4-2. Unlike the last few games, where Barca boss Hansi Flick's rotation policy seemed rather inevitable, this time the manager's idea fell apart, as the Blaugrana side looked too inexperienced to face the pacy, athletic front three of Osasuna.

Right from the first minute, the duo of Bryan Zaragoza and Budimir were all over the Catalan club's backline that had 2 rotations, along with a forced one in Inaki Pena. Ultimately, succeeding on some crucial chances, after some minutes, Osasuna had them leading 2-0 against the FC Barcelona side that looked rather ineffective to produce a comeback.

In the end, the hosts got the very well-deserved 3 points, with excellent performances coming from their forwards. Reflecting upon the club's first La Liga loss this season, Barca boss Flick took responsibility for the loss, saying that his overusing key players had them do unwanted rotations, affecting the overall result. While one reason for so many rotations has been Flick overutilizing stars like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, the obvious reason has been the club's injury concerns. Having only three options in the midfield, with Eric Garcia pushed to the pivot role, one couldn't have expected to go unbeaten on such an impressive streak, and that's what happened against Osasuna.

However, Flick, having given the reassurance of their injured stars returning after the international break, mentioned,
