Luis de La Fuente heaps praise on the Barcelona star's performance in Spain's 4-1 victory

FC Barcelona have started their new campaign in style, with the attack force being the dominating component of the club's success so far. However, while almost every name in Barcelona's forward line contributed goals for fun, things weren't going great for one winger. But, now it seems that times have changed as the winger shone in Spain's 4-1 victory over Switzerland.

Since joining the club in January 2022, Ferran Torres has been a regular mainstay in the FC Barcelona setup. However, even though the winger's numbers haven't been mediocre, Torres hasn't enjoyed a significantly smooth streak of goals at the Blaugrana club. But, finally, it feels that now the wait is over, as after scoring in Barca's 7-0 victory against Valladolid, Torres performed superbly for Spain.

Coming in the 46th minute, Torres changed the momentum of Spain's national team altogether. Even though De La Fuente's side was leading 2-1, thanks to the early goals from Joselu and Fabian Ruiz, Torres cemented the nation's position, contributing a goal and an assist in the remaining minutes of the play.

Torres' beautiful cross found Fabian Ruiz, who put it past Kobel to make it 3-1 in Spain's favor. Only minutes later, in a counterattack, Torres made a comfortable, clear run, combining it with a calm and composed finish to make it 4-1 in the 80th minute. Through the heroic performance of the super sub, Ferran, Spain managed to pull off the complete 3 points in a dramatic fixture.

Speaking on Ferran's performance, Spain boss De La Fuente said,

Moreover, Fuente mentioned that he didn't have the slightest doubt about Ferran's potential, saying,
