Estevão Willian, popularly known as Messinho, could follow in the footsteps of Vitor Roque. The 16-year-old's dream is to play for FC Barcelona. His agent, Andrey Cury, will use the arrival of Vitor Roque as an opportunity to open talks regarding the matter.

Messinho will be permitted to leave Palmeiras once he turns 18. Hence, Verdão are searching for a customer two years prior in order to leverage more milk from the cow.

Many European clubs are interested in the teenage sensation, but Willian is dead set on playing for his dream club.

"Play for Barcelona, which is one of the best clubs in the world. I was born watching Neymar, Messi and Suárez play at Barcelona and that is the dream I have."

Last October, Messinho's father visited the facilities of the interested clubs which included Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona. Even the teenager's father is convinced that the Catalans can be the perfect fit for his development.

The Transfer Race

FC Barcelona have still not shown any formal interest in the teenager. Signing Messinho will be a long-term investment which might or might not pay off. The Blaugranes' financial situation also doesn't offer much help.

Everything depends on Andrey Cury, whether the agent can convince the Catalans to take this long-term risk. The release clause can also be an issue which is marked at around €60 million. Similar problems arose with Vitor, but agreement over paying half of the fees in variables sealed the deal.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race. These clubs, unlike Barça, have no financial problems holding them back. Messinho and Palmeiras will be on the edge unless they reach common ground.

If the Blaugranes don't respond with a clear interest, the Brazilian winger will be forced to accept offers that are already on the table.
