FC Barcelona has got to a flying start in the new campaign, and while the forwards, Raphinha, Yamal, and Lewandowski, hold a significant amount of credit for the same, contributions from stars like Pedri and Dani Olmo can't be neglected. While expectations were certainly high for Olmo, having returned being the Top scorer at the Euros, things weren't the same for Pedri.

Returning from a disheartening injury elimination from the Euros, many questions were being raised about the player's comeback. But, as it turned out, Pedri defied all the odds, worked consistently towards his recovery, and now has been a critical component of the Barca lineup again. Speaking about his remarkable recovery, Pedri mentioned,
""During the summer, I had a lot of work to do to recover well. My goal was to make it in time for the first league match, and I did it. It took a lot of work and physiotherapy.""

In the new campaign, Pedri has been showcasing his true potential from the very start, from his season debut against Valencia. Not to forget, one of the major reasons why the Blaugrana club had long lost the La Liga race to rivals Real Madrid in the last campaign was due to the Catalan midfielder's on-and-off presence. This early in the season, Pedri has clearly stated his desire to help his team, being available for all the games.
""Working to avoid injuries is the only thing I ask for this season, and trying to help the team in everything.""
- Pedri
Currently, the star Catalan midfielder is on the national duty to feature for La Roja in the Nations League. After conquering the Euros, Pedri's next target is to help Spain get hold of another major trophy. Mentioning his desire to bring the Nations League trophy to Spain, Pedri said,
""Everyone says that the Nations League is not a major trophy, but you still play against the best teams in Europe. We want to win it, of course.""

The star midfielder, alongside Barca teammates Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsi, and Ferran Torres, is set to return after the first two league matchdays of the Nations Trophy. Already having Fermin injured during the International break, Barca would hope that they face injury no more and that these star players return to La Liga in their top form.
