Barcelona aim to protect their slender lead at the top of La Liga as they host a dangerous Mallorca side at Camp Nou as they look to extend it before rivals, Real Madrid, kick-off the following day.

Mallorca will be seeking redemption following the reverse fixture in August, where two red cards in just six minutes reduced them to nine men and paved the way for Barcelona’s 3-0 victory.

Predicted XI for Mallorca fixture:

GK: Joan Garcia

Gave away a corner in the Copa del Rey but nothing will usurp this ‘keeper in the goal when fit. He is Barcelona’s number one for many years to come.

RB: Jules Kounde

He is expected to get the nod over João Cancelo as Hansi Flick prioritizes defensive stability. With the Copa del Rey semi-final on the horizon, Flick is keen to field his strongest backline to build crucial tactical continuity.

CB: Pau Cubarsi

The youngster must elevate his game heading into the season's final stretch, especially with Ronald Araújo back to challenge for his spot.

CB: Eric Garcia

A firm favorite of Flick and the fans alike, 'Mr. Dependable' is unlikely to be rested with such a pivotal fixture looming midweek against Atletico.

LB: Joao Cancelo

The versatile Portuguese full-back, capable of playing on either flank, offers a strong alternative to rest Alejandro Balde ahead of the upcoming Copa del Rey.

CM: Marc Casado

The La Masia graduate balances the midfield transition between defense and attack. While he pairs well with de Jong, Casadó could partner Marc Bernal in Pedri's absence.

CM: Frenkie de Jong

Hansi Flick has praised his evolution as a midfielder and his growth as a leader, a rise in importance clearly recognised by the fans.

AM: Fermin Lopez

In my eyes, the star of the show throughout the season. Fermin Lopez will be central to the attacks.

RW: Lamine Yamal

In hot form, Yamal is a guarantee in this team.

LW: Marcus Rashford

Raphinha will miss this game as he recovers from a minor groin issue, so Marcus Rashford will look to continue his impressive goal involvement record in the last five appearances.

ST: Robert Lewandowski

The Polish striker will be fighting for his place now Ferran Torres has returned to action. He will be wanting goals, goals and goals.
