The worst of the worst

Even the best club in the world can make mistakes in the transfer market. Yeah,it’s all about the market. From overpriced and underpriced, overrated to underrated,overpaid to underpaid,one-club men to club hoppers, all types of players are being placed in the transfer market nowadays. Earlier, no player was made available on the market unless they handed in a formal transfer request prepared by an agent. This transfer market can even surprise experienced negotiators from top clubs. The market has got the better of FC barcelona on a few occasions.

Here, I am listing the top 10 worst signings made by FC Barcelona.

10-Diego Maradona-

He was signed for a record $7.6 million from Boca Juniors. His goal record at the Camp Nou was great, with a return of 22 goals in 36 games.

But his disagreements with the board and frequent disputes with president Nunez. This, along with his rebellious nature, and constant wage incresion demands,led to him handing in a transfer request.

He was then offloaded to Napoli for another record fee of $10.48 million.
