5-Aleksander Hleb-

Hleb was signed from Arsenal for a fee of €17 million. He appeared just 19 times for Barcelona and had unsuccessful loan spells at Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Birmingham City. His contract was mutually terminated in 2012.

This transfer was neither beneficial for the team, nor for the coffers of the club. Despite of his sparkling international form for Belarus, he was never able to make a mark in the team. He himself said that he still regrets having made the decision to join FC Barcelona.
