Sergi Roberto 7

The midfielder turned defender has shown a few shaky moments when defending on the right side of the line. However, he does well going forward using the skills he had while playing in the midfield.

Aleix Vidal 6.5

If not for his recent form, Aleix Vidal’s grade would’ve been lower. He began the season embattled and without confidence. All of the sudden, he is now in Luis Enrique’s plans after some really good showings. He’s beginning to trend upward.

Gerard Pique 9

Pique has shown that he still is a very world-class defender. He is a great locker room presence off the pitch as well as a leader on the pitch. The Spaniard must stay healthy if Barca is to be successful this season.

Samuel Umtiti 8.5

For how young Samuel Umtiti is, he’s really good at what he does. He always good position wise and is really great in the air. He has to work on is passing, but other than that, he’s been worth the contract.

Javier Mascherano 7

Mascherano hasn’t seen as much playing time with the arrival of Umtiti. However, when he plays he does with a lot of energy. He is still reliable when he gets the chance.

Jeremy Mathieu 5

While Mathieu can be useful when healthy, he hasn’t been… healthy. He could be better, but is consistent at times.

Jordi Alba 7.5

Speaking of injury-ridden defenders, Jordi Alba has seen his fair share of those. However, he is excellent when he plays as an attacking wing back on the left side. His speed is still top-notch.

Lucas Digne 7

Like Jordi Alba, Lucas Digne loves going forward from his left back position. He doesn’t try to complicate things for the team and continues to be the understudy for Alba.
