Lionel Messi is phenomenal; his breathtaking performance in the Clasico only confirmed this and silenced his, albeit few, doubters.

Messi also notched up his 499th and then his 500th strike in the match which allowed Barca to triumph. In a very tense match, Barcelona managed to defeat Real Madrid by a 3-2 margin. The Argentine was the hero once again as he proved that he is the very best the world has to offer. There are many impactful goals that Messi scored to help his team get out of dire situations.
