FC Barcelona transfer rumour update – Paulinho and Ousmane Dembele
Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz to discuss future with Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele’s situation at Borussia Dortmund is escalating rapidly. But it may not turn out to be a long-drawn saga. According to the Metro, Dortmund manager Peter Bosz will hold a meeting with Dembele to solve his problem.
"He said, “We will sit down with Ousmane Dembele tonight. We’ll announce a decision afterwards.”"
But there is significant unrest at the Signal Iduna Park about Dembele. And they are quite right in doing so. Barcelona have been aggressive in pursuing Ousmane Dembele since the beginning. After Liverpool dismissed the prospect of Philippe Coutinho joining Barcelona, the Catalan club has gone even harder.
Recently, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted that a deal was possible.
"He said, “If a 500 million player offers, he gets every player. A topic is never going through until the transfer period comes to an end.”"
But Barcelona will have to pay over €100 million to sign him. Initial offers were lesser than amount and Dortmund rejected them. But the German side may be forced to accept a bid. Recently, Ousmane Dembele missed a training session in order to show his club of his intention.

In a move that fans will strongly question, Barcelona have concluded negotiations with Guangzhou Evergrande for Paulinho. Barcelona have been looking at Paulinho to reinforce their midfield for a long time but a move has finally materialised.
After flopping at Spurs, Paulinho moved to China to work under ex-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. He has been performing consistently for Evergrande and apparently, it was enough to convince Barcelona that he would fit in the La Liga.
But Barca will have to activate his release clause to sign him. €40 million is a steep fee for a 29-year old player who failed in mainstream European competitive football. But Robert Fernandez was convinced by his performances for his club and his national team and decided to go for it.
Paulinho also reacted to the development.
"He said, “After the game between Brazil and Argentina in Australia my agent told me that there was an interest of Barca and I was surprised, but I wanted to have a proposal before I have any illusions. After the two friendlies, there was an official offer for the Guangzhou and they made me a proposal that I really liked.”"

Paulinho will not be a part of the first-team. But he can provide some relief for Sergio Busquets. Luis Enrique overburdened the Spaniard with the responsibility of the sole defensive midfielder in the squad. The Brazilian can provide cover for Busquets.
