5. Rivaldo

Barcelona signed Rivaldo from rivals Deportivo la Coruna in the summer of 1997 for €23 million. He was fresh off a brilliant season with Deportivo and the fans expected him to reciprocate his performance for Deportivo.

But he did not disappoint. Rivaldo was a huge success at the Camp Nou, pairing up with Luis Figo and Patrick Kluivert to produce goals. He scored 86 goals in 157 appearances for the Catalans and won 4 titles.
