10. Víctor Valdés
Víctor Valdés knocked out Roberto Bonano from the squad after Radomir Antić’s appointment in 2002. Valdés was the modern reinventor of the sweeper keeper role. He was reputed for rushing out when the defence failed to protect the ball. Valdés is one of the greatest products of La Masia.
Valdés made 387 appearances in 12 years for Barcelona. He won the Zamora Trophy a record 5 times in his career at the Camp Nou. But he had a bitter dispute with the club before leaving for Manchester United. Under Louis van Gaal, his career went on a downward spiral before he retired at Middlesbrough.
