5. Andoni Zubizarreta
Andoni Zubizarreta is arguably the best goalkeeper to play for Barcelona. Unlike Víctor Valdés, Zubizarreta was a reliable presence between the sticks and did not make frequent errors. He won the Zamora Trophy just once, but nonetheless, he was a true inspiration.
Zubizarreta won 11 titles in his 8-year spell at Barcelona. He was the only player to survive the ‘Hesperia Mutiny’ against Josep Lluís Núñez, who dismissed the entire squad and ushered in the ‘Dream Team’ era.
