2. Ander Herrera

Ander Herrera was one of Ernesto Valverde’s first requests as Barcelona manager. The Basque coach expressly requested the club to sign Herrera. But the club couldn’t comply as Manchester United were reluctant to sell him.

But Ander Herrera has not yet put pen to paper a new deal with United. He has lost his place in the first-team to new signing Nemanja Matić. Last season, he was one of José Mourinho’s key players. But he is no longer the engine of the United midfield.

Herrera may choose to leave Old Trafford next summer. He wants first-team football and Barcelona should capitalise on the situation.
